First Tooth Lost

Yesterday, Kaleigh lost her first tooth, and then really lost her tooth. Kaleigh had been playing with it and twisting it all around for the past few days but was hoping it would come out on Christmas. Yesterday, Bryan helped to wiggle it out. After having it in a bag to show to people some how it was not in the bag come evening. Needless to say she was very disappointed and sad. She wrote a note to the Tooth Fairy and drew a picture of her tooth. We weren't sure if the Tooth Fairy would come without a tooth under the pillow, but she did. 

Christmas Tree

This morning we went to get our Christmas Tree. We were planning on going last Sunday, but it was snowing. 

Now it's time to decorate!! :)

Polar Express Train Ride-Weekend Trip

This weekend we took the girls on The Polar Express Train Ride in Elkins, WV. Bryan's parents joined us as well. Elkins is about 2 1/2 hours away so we left around lunch time Friday. Our train ride was at 7:15 so that gave us some time to check in at our hotel, go out for dinner and then come back and have the girls get dressed in their pj's for the ride. 

Before boarding kids could color pictures, write a letter to Santa and get a holiday tattoo.

 Kaleigh has never been a fan of Santa and will walk the other way at the mall and will fuss because she is scared. If you knew how much she did not like Santa, it was quite a surprise when she willingly sat on his lap without me needing to ask. She says she not scared anymore. 

 Santa gave everyone a silver bell. 

 We ate at CJ Maggie's before our ride. The kids enjoyed making a noodle necklace, the food was great and they had live music!!

We had planned to stay the night, so the next morning, I took the girls swimming for  a little while before heading home. 

We had a wonderful time!!

Halloween

The girls were very excited to go out trick or treating again this year!!

New School Year

Both Kaleigh and Cassidy started school this week. Kaleigh is in Kindergarten at John C. and Cassidy is in Pre-K at Fulks Run. Abby also started a new daycare program at Stepping Stones. Each of them have loved school!!

Cassidy was up at 6:15 the first morning of Pre-K for her and has been waiting for this day!!

Berries

Yesterday evening we decided to take a drive through the mountain. We ended up stopping at Blue Hole to pick some berries. They were wonderful and the girls loved picking them.

Garden Helpers

This is the first year that we've had a garden. Bryan does a wonderful job at weeding it and keeping it looking nice. We enjoy going up and looking at it each day to see what has grown or if anything is ready to be picked.

 Kaleigh LOVES cherry tomatoes!!

So far we've gotten a few cherry tomatoes and cucumbers, but some squash will be ready in a few days! Yay, for garden vegetables!!

Cassidy's Birthday

 

Today we enjoyed a fun afternoon with family and friends as we celebrated Cassidy's 4th birthday.

Kaleigh's Pre-K Graduation

Kaleigh had her Pre-K graduation this past Wednesday and it was precious.

Here she is with her class!

 

 They sang several songs.

 Kaleigh LOVES her teacher and she is wonderful!!

 We tried to take a family photo, but Abby wanted no part of it, as you can see.

 So I settled for one with the other two!!

Kaleigh will be coming to John C with me next year for Kindergarten. She is so excited, but will miss her teacher and classmates!! She has had a fantastic year!!

Outer Banks

We were able to spend a few days at the Outer Banks and had a wonderful time. It was nice to get away even if it was only for a short time. We've had so much snow this month that we were all ready for some sun. Although it was still cool, it was a nice change.

We enjoyed walking out on the pier.

 

 The girls could have stayed on the beach all day. They loved looking for shells, playing in the sand and putting their feet in the water.

 We also visited the Wright Brother's Memorial.

Captain George's and Sweet Frog were also on the list of places we enjoyed!!



Gymnastics

We decided to sign the girls up for gymnastics and their first class was today. It's in Broadway so it's nice that we don't have to drive to Harrisonburg.

Kaleigh and Cassidy loved these mats!!

Cassidy is definitely the go getter out of the two and I'm glad they are taking the class together. Cassidy was so eager to try anything the teacher asked. 

Girls and their toys

We recently got a 4-wheeler for the girls from a neighbor that they are no longer using. Dale needed to do a few things to get it going and the girls love it. It will stay down at Bryan's parents house, because they have more area for them to ride. Today, Bryan took Kaleigh and Cassidy down to ride it and as always it's a HUGE hit!!

 

 

Kaleigh is the go getter and the one who is willing to try anything. Today Cassidy began to feel more at ease with driving it and seemed to go really fast (as you can tell in this picture). :)

We did purchase a helmet for the girls that came today in the mail. The girls are all excited because it has pink butterflies!! :)
