Snow

Last weekend we got more than 20 inches of snow!! I don't remember the last time I've seen that much. Kaleigh couldn't even walk in the snow it was so high, but she still ventured out with Bryan. It was a good thing I didn't have to go anywhere. I stayed in until Tuesday when I headed out to take Cassidy for her six month check up. Here is a picture of our home in the midst of all the snow!!

Bergton sure is a beautiful place!!

the girls

I thought it would be nice to get a picture of the girls in front of our Christmas tree but with a 23 month old and a 6 month old I should have known I probably wasn't going to get the picture I'd like. Instead...................
Kaleigh wanted to sit in Cassidy's bumbo
they were more interested with the presents

Kaleigh was ready to open them

it took us a couple of tries before Cassidy would look our way

I even tried to bribe Kaleigh with a cookie to sit beside Cassidy and we had no luck.

I will just have to wait until next year!!

First Snow 2009

It has been snowing here all morning and Kaleigh has been anxious to go out to play in it. After I bundled her up Bryan took her outside. Kaleigh loved being outside but I don't think she could hardly move. With all the layers I put on her she was bound to stay warm.

Being pulled around!

Daddy and Kaleigh

She would lay back and then be unable to get up on her own!! It was cute to watch her!!

1st day, 1 deer down

Bryan has and will always be a hunter. He will make a hunter out of one of our children as well. Saturday was the first day of bow and since he had the weekend off, he was eager to get up early and sit in the woods waiting for the deer to hopefully come his way. He didn't have any luck in the morning, but it was a different story in the evening. Bryan got a 5 point. He's always so proud of his deer. He took Kaleigh down to the store with him to check it in.
Now I will have to share a hunting story with you. I have never been a huge fan of hunting for the simple reason of not being able to sit still and quiet long enough. It is also usually cold and too early to get up for something you don't enjoy. During our first couple years of dating Bryan tried to get me to go hunting with him but I was quick to say "no." I would practice shooting his gun when he'd practice at his house but it was just for fun. I must say I have pretty good aim! :)Then one year he talked me in to going. Oh the things you do for the people you love. Anyway, I shot a doe that year. If I went again Bryan wanted me to gut the next deer I got. Probably to see my squirm. So the next year when I shot my second deer it was my turn to gut it. He did everything I just had to do the last little bit. I came prepared with my long rubber gloves (that was the only way I would agree to it so that my arms and hands would stay clean). After I was done and thought I took good precautions I came to find out that there was a hole in my glove and my hands still got messy. So we had a good laugh, but I don't think I've been hunting since.

Daddy's Girl..........forever!!

I think Kaleigh will always have a special place in Bryan's heart. She definitely loves being with Bryan. On the days when Bryan watches her during the week he takes her on four wheeler rides, walks in the woods and involves her in everything he enjoys doing. That is one reason why she LOVES being outside. There will always be a special bond between them. Just this morning Bryan made the comment about them getting big. Yes they are. They are growing up too fast!!!

Here she is sporting a camo hat. I'm sure before hunting season is over I will have a picture of her in all camo for Daddy!!!

Broadway Homecoming Parade

Broadway Homecoming Parade
I picked the girls up from the sitter this afternoon and decided to stay in Broadway to watch the parade. I took Kaleigh last year and she really enjoyed watching it. This year she saw horses, tractors and heard lots of music!!

Autumn was there with the kids as well.
Several of my students were in the parade and it was fun watching and waving to them!! :)

Pictures

Kaleigh loves helping me bake or mixing up things. After making apple juice (concentrate) she helped stir.
I wanted to have Kaleigh hold Cassidy in her lap outside for a nice picture of the girls, but Kaleigh wanted nothing to do with pictures. She was not feeling well today and I should have known. She is looking at Daddy, getting ready to leave for work. She misses him when he's at work (so do I)! :)

One of the things Bryan worked on during his time off was to clear off and clean up some area on the hill. He made a fire pit, added four benches and made horseshoe pits. We have been enjoying it in the evenings when it's pleasant outside. The other weekend Jimmy and Misty and their two sons Aiden and Cody came back for the evening. We enjoyed making s'mores over the fire while the guys threw some horseshoes.

Kaleigh loves watching and being around daddy at all times
