Snow

Last Thursday, we had our first snow and school was closed both Thursday and Friday. I may be nuts, but I was hoping we'd have school at least on Friday even if it was with a delay. Our Christmas break just started earlier and I am enjoying the time with the girls. Cassidy was too little last year to go out in the snow so it was a new experience for her. Bryan took each of them sledding down the hill once and once was enough for each of them. Neither of them were a big fan.

Kaleigh threw some snow at Bryan, only to get more on her than on Bryan!! :) It wasn't so funny then.

Sweet Kisses

I was in the kitchen making supper the other evening and over heard Kaleigh say "Do you love me? Do you love me Cassidy?" Only to follow it up with a sweet kiss!

Carving Pumpkins

We enjoyed carving pumpkins with the girls last week. Here are a few pictures!!
Kaleigh waiting.

Watching Daddy trace the picture.

It took Kaleigh a little while to want to pull out the seeds. She was not so sure about the feel of them.

Little fingers.

Cassidy would only use a spoon to get the seeds out.

The final pumpkins!! I guess next year we will have to carve three pumpkins!!

Pumpkin Patch

On Friday, Bryan and I met up with his parents and took the kids to Lohr's Pumpkin Patch. Last year we talked about taking the girls, but never did. Kaleigh and Cassidy loved playing on the different play areas and running around. I'm sure we'll be back again next year.

Outdoor Woodstove

I'm not sure why we take on large projects around the time our children are born, but we do. We moved into our house only a week and half before Cassidy was born and with Abby, Bryan (along with some help from his dad) just finished building a shed, digging the lines, cutting wood and getting everything ready for the outdoor woodstove that we got about two weeks ago. Bryan has been working on this for about three/four weeks and we finally got everything finished yesterday so he was eager to start the fire!!

Abigail Hope

Abigail Hope was born October 6, at 4:18 a.m. She weighed 7 lbs. 12 oz and was 18 1/2inches long. We are all doing well and adjusting to having a new little one in our family. I am grateful for the help from both of our families during these first two weeks with watching the girls, meals and helping to clean/pick up our house. Bryan has also taken off and will not be going back to work until after Thanksgiving so he has been a huge help as well.

This is the best we could do with getting both Kaleigh and Cassidy to sit with Bryan to take a picture with Abby. Kaleigh loves to hold her (and Cassidy too), but she was more interested with everything else in the room.

Cassidy loves giving Abby kisses and adores just looking at her!!

Beside Herself!!

Can you tell by looking at this picture why Cassidy is so beside herself?
No, it's not because she has my phone although it is a fun thing to play with when she gets ahold of it.

Here is a clearer picture

Today Alisha was painting Kaleigh's toes and I decided to try to paint Cassidy's. I put her in the high chair and did the best I could while working with wiggling toes. She loved having them painted. She would smile and point to them when I said "Who has pretty toes." I will have to do it more often now!!

For some reason I've been having trouble uploading pictures. I'm not sure why. Today when I tried I was able to post a picture so maybe I'll be able to post more often. Anyway, we've been having a wonderful summer. The girls have been keeping me busy and we've enjoyed numerous trips and activities.

4...3...2...1

4 years....3 kids......2 jobs.....1 home and a 1 year old
4 Years
Bryan and I are celebrating our 4th wedding anniversary today and although he is working and it is Cassidy's first birthday as well hopefully we can at least get out to dinner just the two of us. I know 11 years ago when Bryan and I first started dating, getting married was never a thought because I was only in the 10th grade. We sure have come a long way.
3 Kids
Many of you know that we are expecting our third child in early October. We are excited about welcoming another baby girl into our family!! With it being summer the last four months will probably fly by too quickly.
2 Jobs
Bryan and I both have wonderful jobs that we are very thankful for. Bryan is a corporal in the jail and has worked there for the past three years. He doesn't seem to mind the rotation that they work because of the days off, but we miss not seeing him as often at home. I am finishing my 4th year teaching second grade at John C. Myers Elementary School and love my work. It can very time consuming, but teaching is very rewarding.
1 Home and a 1 year old
We have been in our home for just over a year. There are little things that still need to be done, but will get done in time. I don't always look forward to the 25 minute drive to work or 45 minute drive to my parents, but Bergton is a beautiful place. It is where we will raise our children and are thankful for the open space and surrounding. We also are celebrating Cassidy's first birthday today!! I can't believe she is already one. She is busy walking and I love watching her beam when she walks around because she enjoys it so much. She is a very upbeat and happy child. She loves to smile and has enjoyed beginning to feed herself although more ends up on her then in her mouth. Kaleigh and her are interacting more and love to play together. Happy Birthday Cassidy!

Easter

We had a nice Easter meal at Mom and Dad's and the kids enjoyed an easter egg hunt. They had dyed eggs earlier on in the week so we hid those and some others for them to find. We (the adults) even had a nice surprise in an egg hidden for us!! :) Thanks mom and dad!!

Kaleigh and Heidi were blowing kisses

Enjoying the treats in their eggs

Kaleigh

I have since learned that Cassidy is not a fan of being on the grass. It even took her a while to warm up sitting on my lap.

Here's a happy girl!!

Beautiful Evening

This evening Bryan's parents invited us down for supper. The weather was so nice that Bryan and Kaleigh walked down. Kaleigh would live outside I think if we let her. Bryan's parents have three motorized jeeps for the girls and although Kaleigh does not know how to drive the jeep she will lay on the pedal and go!! Bryan got one of the jeeps out for her to ride this evening! She had so much fun. We are all looking forward to warmer weather and being able to spend more time outside!!
This picture was taken in the fall when Kaleigh first got the jeep. There are two different speeds and here she is in high speed. We really had to watch her because she would look at us when she was driving and had no concept of how to steer.
