PA Trip

14 Weeks

I had an appointment today with one of the midwives. Everything looks good. The heart beat was hanging around 155. I don't go back for another four weeks, and then it will be time for our next ultrasound. I'd like the sex of the baby to be a surprise, however Bryan can't wait to find out. So if he can keep it a secret...........he'll be the only one to know!!

Count Your Blessings!!

Bryan and I have a lot to be thankful for this season. Holidays are always a busy time for us since both of our families are in the area. We enjoyed spending time with Bryan's family at his Grandma's and then headed in to my parents for another meal with the Risser's. Needless to say we had our share of wonderful Thanksgiving food!!

Many of you know we are in the process of building. We have gotten a modular which was set last week, and now the work really begins. Bryan has been working very hard to get things done. So if he's not at work, he is working on the house. We don't get to see a lot of Daddy, but will be thankful when we are in!! I don't think it can come soon enough!! I have one picture of the house at the beginning stages. It is still a work in progress, but you can at least take a look!!

Bryan and I are also expecting our second child in June. I am 13 weeks along and feel really good. We did have some things that were concerning in the beginning of the pregnancy, but I am hoping everything continues to go smoothly from here out. You can keep us in your thoughts and prayers as this is a busy, but exciting time for us!!

November Already!!

It is hard to believe it is already November and Christmas will be here before we know it. Bryan is working this weekend so Kaleigh and I were in at Mom and Dad's. Today we went to the Dayton and Shenandoah Farmers Market with Alisha. We enjoyed walking around looking at all the beautiful handmade furniture and other items. We were doing a little Christmas shopping and I was making a list for myself!! :) Here are a few recent pictures.

Blueberries

Kaleigh absolutely loves blueberries!! I tend to avoid things that are messy, but with babies messes follow them. I took off her clothes and had bath water ready for when she was done. She scarfed them down like there was no tomorrow. I think part of the fun is just being able to feed herself. I enjoy trying out new foods with her.

Wanting More!!

Just Another Saturday!!

We had a very relaxing Saturday. We enjoyed the "fall" weather which I love. Fall is definitely my favorite season. I enjoy the cooler weather and the need to bundle up. I love seeing the leaves change colors and the activities that go along with fall. Kaleigh is beginning to pull herself up, however the fence that she is holding on to is a little too high. She had a little help!! :)

I absolutely love bath time with Kaleigh. It is one of my favorite things to do. She has really grown to love being in the water and it's fun watching her play.

Now that school has started again, I find that I have less time to accomplish the things I need to. I realize it's been a while since I last posted anything and will try my best to keep up with the blog.

So serious!!

Here are a few pictures of Kaleigh enjoying the beautiful weather. She loves anything that has to do with being outside!! Daddy loves that!! Yesterday Bryan watched her as it was my first day back. Although I always enjoy rearranging my room one year to the next and all the beginning of school things that need to be done, this year it is bitter sweet returning to school. Bryan had Kaleigh out on the four-wheeler and took a walk through the woods for a while yesterday (just to name a few things they did together) and she had a blast not to mention I think he enjoyed it just as much!!

6 Month Check Up

This little cutie had her 6 month check up yesterday!! She weighs 15.4 (40 percentile) and is a little over 24 inches (10 percentile). I was not surprised that she is on the smaller end since Bryan and I aren't tall by any means. :)

Catching Up!!

Last week I had the chance to catch up with a friend of mine from high school. Christen and her husband Ryan have been living in California for the past few years and last fall studied abroad in Chile. We have kept in touch through letters and managing to get a visit in once in while, while they are home. It had been over two years since I last saw Christen and it was wonderful being able to spend time with them while they were here. Kaleigh enjoyed meeting Christen and Ryan (and Christen's parents) for the first time as well!!

We visited with Bryan's Grandmother last week and I wanted to add a few pictures. Tomorrow we are having lunch with my Grandparents (Risser's) so I will add some pictures of our time with them. I realize I don't have any pictures up of our parents with Kaleigh and mean to get some up.

Williamsburg

We had a really nice time in Williamsburg with the Risser's last week. We have been getting together over the past few years at the beach. This year instead of heading to the beach we all got together in Williamsburg. This was Kaleigh's first trip and I had no idea what to expect for the car ride. Most babies seem to fall asleep in their car seat however, Kaleigh is not one of those children. I ended up riding with her in the back and she managed to take a pacifier.

We had beautiful weather and enjoyed taking in the sun!!
